Joining the MECEC
Currently, MECEC is sectioned into two parts: a leadership and an advisory group. Both contribute to the overall vision and direction of Maryland’s ECE system.
The leadership group has direct responsibility for the operation of MECEC and advancing key strategic priorities. They represent private organizations with direct implementation and/or advocacy roles within Maryland’s ECE system. Together, they work across other partners, both engaged through the broader Advisory Coalition, and through other established forums such as the State Early Childhood Advisory Coalition; local management boards; and other groups. The goal is to create a shared vision, alignment, and coordination across all these entities – representing the voices and perspectives of families and professionals; government; funders; community partners; and all other groups, both directly and indirectly connected to ECE.
